Imam Al Bukhari Mosque – Interior Spiral Staircases Project

Project Background:

Following the successful completion of the Mosque’s exterior façade, the client entrusted us with the entire interior works, including four monumental spiral staircases.

The staircases were crafted from Turkish White Magnolia marble, each slab with a thickness of 8 cm, requiring double-sided carving and polishing. The client’s deadline was only one month, a nearly impossible challenge.

Project Challenges:

1. Extremely Short Schedule:

Carving and polishing alone would normally take a full month. leavina no time for installation.

2. Complex Craftsmanship:

Spiral structures with irregular dimensions, massive columns, curved handrails, and twisting angles.

3. Fragile Material:

Turkish White Magnolia marble is fine-grained but brittle, demanding utmost care during cutting, handling, and finishing. 

4. Packaging Difficulty:

Oversized and irregular spiral components made conventional packing extremely challenging.
